How to get to Volendam?

The best way to get to Volendam from Asmterdam is by bus. This trip is quick and cheap. From Amsterdam Centraal you can take the bus number 316 and it will drop you off in Volendam at the stop “Volendam, Julianaweg / Centrum” in approximately 30 minutes. From the bus stop you will see the Volendam Museum and just around the corner (500-meter walk) the dike of Volendam. The cost of a bus ticket from Amsterdam to Volendam (one way) is approximately € 5.00. We advise, however, to purchase the “Waterland EBS dagkaart” which you can utilize in one same day to visit multiple destinations in the region Waterland, including the return to Amsterdam.
